• Just got back from a 4-week trip through some of Europe. Thanks to everyone who came to see us. Big thanks also to the machine gun-wielding Italian police officer who gave Robbie his passport back after pocketing it with no explanation.

While we were out, Lee made a video on his iPhone. Set to the music of "Misspent Youth" from Hysterical, it captures all the sex, drugs, and computer use that you would expect from a band, so be sure to take a look.

There's a lot of CYHSY rock action coming up, so be sure to check out our shows page for all the info.

  • Because we often do a lot of the facebooking and the twittering, we sometimes neglect our own site, so here is a bit of an update on what's going on in the world of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah...

We're currently about three weeks into a European tour. A band call Meursault from Edinburgh has been playing with us. They are fantastic and you should check them out. The shows have been a lot of fun. Unfortunately, we had to miss one in Copenhagen because our bus broke down, but hopefully we will get back to Denmark soon enough. We have just a few more shows here in Europe before we head back to the US.

We recently announced a bunch of new shows, so be sure to check out our shows page for the details. We're excited to be going to Mexico for Festival 5punto5, to the Northwest for Sasquatch Festival, and to the Southeast for some dates with Two Door Cinema Club. We'll be announcing many more dates in the US, so stay tuned.

The best places for the 24hour CYSHY news cycle are Facebook and Twitter.

  • Just got back from a small North American tour with Waters. Thanks to everyone who made it out to see us, and thanks to Waters, as well as Sat Night Duets and Radical Dads for joining us!

That's pretty much it for 2011. We head to Japan in January, then to Europe. Hopefully we'll make it back out for more US/Canada shows in 2012.

  • We are heading out today for shows in Austin, Portland, and Seattle. From Seattle we head to Australia to play in the Harvest Festival, and to play some of our own shows here and there. We get back, eat some turkey, and then play more shows in the US and Canada. For details on all of this tomfoolery, see our shows page.

  • Last July, we got together at Alec's place to record ourselves playing the songs from Hysterical. Our friends from Show Cobra joined us to capture it all on video, and the illustrious Quentin Stoltzfus recorded the sounds. Over the next few weeks, or maybe months, we will begin to make all 11 of these videos available to you on the web. They will all eventually end up on this site, but for now, other sites in the far reaches of the internet universe will debut a few of them.

NME has the first one: Same Mistake.

    Enjoy!

  • We were invited to perform again on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon! Dana Carvey was the main guest, which was also super cool. We decided to play "Same Mistake". Watch the video right here.
