Just writing to let you know that Saturday's show is going to be my last one with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.
I am very proud of what this band has accomplished over the past eight years, and I will miss playing with such talented musicians. I wish Alec, Sean and Lee the best of luck with whatever CYHSY does in the future. I wish Robbie the best of luck with his musical and horticultural endeavors. As for me, I am currently in the process of forming a presidential exploratory committee for 2016.
I hope to see you on Saturday. Expect an epic bass solo.

Dear Clap Your Hands Say Yeah fans and friends,
I'm writing to let you know that our upcoming New York show will be my last with the band. Being a member of Clap has been an incredible experience, but I have decided to move on and see what's next. I will continue to make music with my other band, Radical Dads, pursue miscellaneous artistic endeavors, and also grow some vegetables. I am excited to see what else might come my way. Maybe some tomatoes?
I feel so fortunate to have been a part of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and wish them all the best as they continue on without me. Thank you to everyone who listened and came to shows and supported us -- you are truly the coolest!
If you want to say hi/bye, or let me know about any get-rich-quick schemes and/or legitimate employment opportunities, please write to email@example.com
Thanks again for an amazing bunch of years! If you're in town on Saturday, come out to the (free) show!

We're heading home from South Africa. What an amazing trip it was. A lot of people came together to put on some excellent shows in Cape Town and Johannesburg. We hope to return sometime soon! Video by the awesome folks of We Are Awesome.Posted April 15, 2012
We're going to South Africa for the first time next week. We play two shows there, one in Cape Town, one in Johannesburg. And we are very excited about it. Check out our shows page for details.Posted April 5, 2012
Here's the latest...
When we were in Australia in November, we took a day to wander through a drain pipe and an abandoned, very do-not-enter place. The result was this video for "Hysterical." It was directed by Kris Moyes.
We have a bunch of shows coming up: South By Southwest next week, Mexico in May, and more US dates in May and June. Go to our shows page to find out where we're playing.Posted March 6, 2012
Just got back from a 4-week trip through some of Europe. Thanks to everyone who came to see us. Big thanks also to the machine gun-wielding Italian police officer who gave Robbie his passport back after pocketing it with no explanation.
While we were out, Lee made a video on his iPhone. Set to the music of "Misspent Youth" from Hysterical, it captures all the sex, drugs, and computer use that you would expect from a band, so be sure to take a look.
There's a lot of CYHSY rock action coming up, so be sure to check out our shows page for all the info.Posted February 22, 2012
Because we often do a lot of the facebooking and the twittering, we sometimes neglect our own site, so here is a bit of an update on what's going on in the world of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah...
We're currently about three weeks into a European tour. A band call Meursault from Edinburgh has been playing with us. They are fantastic and you should check them out. The shows have been a lot of fun. Unfortunately, we had to miss one in Copenhagen because our bus broke down, but hopefully we will get back to Denmark soon enough. We have just a few more shows here in Europe before we head back to the US.
We recently announced a bunch of new shows, so be sure to check out our shows page for the details. We're excited to be going to Mexico for Festival 5punto5, to the Northwest for Sasquatch Festival, and to the Southeast for some dates with Two Door Cinema Club. We'll be announcing many more dates in the US, so stay tuned.Posted February 15, 2012
Here is a version of "Misspent Youth" the we recorded for Bowery Presents Live, Bowery's new YouTube channel.Posted February 15, 2012
